ULAB organizes the ceremony for the awarding of the accountant training certificate

The ULAB School of Business organized Thursday, November 11 the ceremony for the presentation of the training certificate of accountant on its campus of Mohammadpur.

A total of 21 BBA students received certificates after attending several training sessions on the BookKeeper app followed by a test. Certificate recipients will provide training on the application to different SME owners.

At the certificate ceremony, ULAB Vice-Chancellor Prof. Imran Rahman urged students to participate in training like this, which complements textual knowledge and enriches the skills of a new diploma. Such training also opens up avenues for part-time jobs and internships, he said. It should be noted that this is the first batch to receive this training and certificate from Bangladesh.

Bookkeeper App is a basic accounting application developed by Aspen Capital Solutions LLC for SMEs to assist them in recording their daily business transactions and generating basic financial statements. This app is supposed to empower SME owners by giving them access to improved financial information and enabling them to get loans from financial institutions.

Razi Amin, Managing Partner, Aspen Capital Solutions LLC; Ms. Nusrat Mirza, Director, Bangladesh Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Professor Shamsad Mortuza; Pro-Vice-Chancellor, ULAB; Professor Milan Kumar Bhattacharjee, Treasurer, ULAB; Assistant Professor AF Wazir Ahmad, BBA Program Director, ULAB, was on hand to honor the occasion. Mr. Shafayat Hossain Chowdhury, Senior Lecturer, School of Business, ULAB has coordinated the sessions since the end of ULAB.
