ULAB School of Business held the Accountancy Training Certificate Ceremony at its Mohammadpur campus on November 11.
Twenty-one students in the BBA program received the certificates after attending several training sessions on the BookKeeper app followed by a test.
Certificate recipients will provide training on the application to different SME owners, according to a press release.
Bookkeeper App is a basic accounting application developed by Aspen Capital Solutions LLC for SMEs to assist them in recording their daily business transactions and generating basic financial statements.
The app is supposed to empower SME owners by giving them access to improved financial information and enabling them to get loans from financial institutions.
ULAB Vice-Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman urged students to participate in training like this, which complements textual knowledge and enriches the skills of a new graduate.
