The American Rental Association today launched the latest element of its “Clean Safe Essential” initiative for party and event rental companies with the availability of a training certificate program. The online training program is designed for ARA members to help ensure the safety of the rental experience during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The online training certificate program includes a variety of learning modules to help ensure the cleanliness and safety of rental operations, employees and customers, ARA management said. Topics covered include supplies needed, preparations, safety considerations, and a cleanliness checklist.
At the end of the training program, ARA members will receive a certificate and an implementation kit for their specific location.
“Our industry is committed to developing solutions beyond what is expected to keep the rental process clean and safe,” said Tony Conant, CEO of ARA. “The consistent training found in the Clean Safe Essential program is designed to help ensure the health and safety of customers and employees, and to maintain the highest level of trust among our customer partners. “
The training is based on expertise from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, rental operators and equipment manufacturers, the association said.
While training is based on medical science and operational expertise, ARA requires rental stores to adhere to the latest local, state / provincial and national government laws and regulations, and to adhere to guidelines provided by service agencies. government health. If government guidelines are more stringent than what’s in the training, ARA says stores should follow government guidelines.
ARA is creating an expert group to regularly evaluate the program and update best practices as new information becomes available.
