Basic Technician Class – Amateur Radio License

This 2-day course is designed to help you prepare for the 35-question exam required to qualify for a technician-class amateur radio license.

Regular exam sessions are held in Newport and Lincoln City. During the course there will be time to talk about the exam process.

This course takes place on two Saturdays:

Class 1: Saturday October 22, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Class 2: Saturday October 29, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch or plan to grab something nearby.

QUESTION: Are there any ID or minimum age requirements to participate in the event?

ANSWER: No. Anyone interested in amateur radio, who is willing to pay attention for a few hours, is welcome.

QUESTION: Do I need to bring my printed ticket to the event?

ANSWER: No. The registration process simply helps us prepare for the course.

QUESTION: What if I can’t come both days?

ANSWER: Come when you can. It will always be useful.
